When I brought it home, I found out the entire game was in German (it figure's). After looking for a patch for ages, i could not fine one. So if your having the same problem, i have the solution. When you first insert the CD to install it, press the top button. I cant remember the rest but just play round until it starts installing. I now suggest making a system restore point, in case it doesent work.

Then go My Computer> C Drive> Program Files> EA GAMES> Need For Speed Underground 2> LANGUAGES. Then find the Language file (german.bin), (japanese.bin) etc. That the game is currently in (in my case German. Now rename it the find the english or what ever you want to change it to and name it or what ever the game is currently in. Close the folders and start the game up. Try to get the english version using a torrent program www.bitlord.com. Nov 29, 2004  you can change the language. But only for the text all the speaking is still in english. I know this because the first time i installed it, it was in fucken German. Speaking still in english but all text in german. A quick reinstall fixed it.
