It baffles me that Garmin / Chrysler would provide a GPS unit in our vehicles that would be so incredibly difficult to update maps on, by the time I have completed this process it will surely have costed me much more than $150 in time and effort! From what I can tell, Garmin / Chrysler has it pretty simple to update maps. Just legally buy a copy for $150 and install it.
If your complaint is that they made it difficult for you to break the law, and update your unit thru illegal means, well all I can say is, good for them. Hi Walt, Having had a Chrysler Nav in my '04 Grand Cherokee, I would have to very respectfully disagree.
By the time Chrysler goes through all the hoops to bring out an updated CD, the maps are two years out of date. Been there done that with an '04 Grand Cherokee. Those maps are only going to work on road. No topographical capabilities. I will not buy another Chrysler Nav system because of this.
Since Chrysler won't get it together and produce a Wrangler nav system that can be used on and off road, folks are pretty much left to their own devices to make it happen. Akt spisaniya avtoshin blank word. Good for these guys to try and expand the capabilities.
It sold another 283,544 units ($8.08 million) in the country during 2000. It sold 2.4 million before the release of Red Alert 2. This made it the region's sixth-best-selling and fourth-highest-grossing computer game of 1999. In the United States, Tiberian Sun sold 419,533 copies by the end of 1999, for revenues of $18.62 million. Tiberian sun firestorm maps.
Personally I hope they can not only break the code, but are able to make a profitable business out of providing a quality updating service for all those stuck with this albatross. This is how companies like SuperChips started. And they've done an awesome job of filling the void where the factories either can't or won't, take care of their users.
Just my thoughts, written in a respectful reply. __________________ Red 2014 JKURX: 6-speed TeraFlex 4in 8 adj arms, HD carrier system, rear brakes 37in MTR/Ks OEM wheels AlloyUSA spacers DIY grill mesh MOPAR BBK w/modded manual Xmsn reservoir MetalCloak mounted sPOD w/ AirZenith gage underhood VIAIR w/modded DOR mount AVS air tanks 2 Air horns GrabBars MagnaFlow exhaust w/loop delete VectorOffroad E-dock Condition Zero Bestop lockbox WNYAccessoryShop rear camera DiodeDynamics LED (XP80) upgrades Red SpiderWebShade GenesisOffRoad w/Dual Odyssey PC1500s. Well thank you for your uninformed judgmental reply. Allow me to enlighten you. I have been attempting to 'legally buy a copy for $150' for about a month now, it has simply shown as 'This product is temporarily out of stock' the entire time. As I have a family vacation coming up in the next few weeks I thought now might be a good time to update my 3 year old maps. Making zero progress with the 'legally buy a copy for $150' method I began to search for alternative remedies. I'm glad that the disks are out of stock now though because it is my understanding that even after shelling out the $150 I wouldn't be able to update my maps without rolling back my firmware to version 33 which means I would still need to find and download and burn to disk firmware version 33 and 50 to re-install after updating maps. If I drop more money for maps than I would for an entirely new GPS unit, and I still have to go online and search for a work around on how yo get them installed.
